Meet the Owner

Matt Curtin has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, which began right after graduating from Binghamton University. He spent over a decade working for two of the largest insurance companies in the country. Throughout his various roles, which include negotiating liability, claims, sales and most extensively insurance premium auditing, Matt has developed a deep and broad insurance knowledge base. Prior to starting The Curtin Agency, Matt spent two years working for a large regional insurance agency, which was bought out by one of the largest agencies in the world. It was then that he decided to start his own agency to bring back the service, care, and culture of a locally owned and operated agency to best serve the needs of clients. Matt is certified as a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) and has an Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) designation.

When not focused on work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and friends, playing soccer and golfing.
